Amy Fazio–a School Board Director in New Brighton (PA)–sought election to PA’s general assembly in 2018. The incumbent in this stubbornly Republican-performing district had not been opposed in nearly a decade. Ampersand Consulting was retained to execute a direct mail program that would create a permission structure for Republican voters to cross party lines while also expanding the Democratic electorate to narrow the turnout disadvantage.
